About Me

Welcome to The Riley Academy!

I am delighted that you have chosen The Riley Academy to provide for the needs of your child(ren). Professionally, I am a licensed childcare provider through Hamilton County Department of Job and Family Services. I hold a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education from The Ohio State University and a Master's Degree in Special Education from Miami University. I am also a graduate of MORTAR Entrepreneurship Academy. Previously, I was a K-12 Intervention Specialist and held Professional teaching licenses for the states of Ohio and Maryland. I am also a Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner. 

I have been married to Desmond for 10 years and we have two children. Jada-18 and Riley-12. My initial spark for early childhood education came from Riley being diagnosed with Mixed Receptive-Expressive Language Disorder at 18-months old. Riley is now 12 years old. He is in 7th grade and is now attending Walnut Hills High School, the #1 high school in Ohio! His diagnosis helped me to better understand child development and the importance of early intervention.
